The History of Pizza....
The story tells us that in June 1889, the best chef of the time, Raffaele Esposito, planned to create an extraordinary pizza, to honor the Queen of Italy: Margherita of Savoy. For the occasion he chose Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil purposely to represent the colours of the national flag of Italy: Red, White & Green. (Rosso, Bianco e Verde)
So the story records that the culture of the pizza emerged from the roots of the past and is today elegantly rebranded, but always in faithful tradition to the master pizzaioli.
